MacBook Air to get add-ons

MacBook Air to get add-ons
I’ve said it before, and I don’t mind saying it again. If you want to get rich quick, start up a company and design your own generic Apple add-ons and peripherals. Doing it for the iPod line alone is more than enough to make you rich, at least earn more money than the average Joe on the street. After all, there are dozens of iPod cases, sleeves, MacBook bags, iPod speaker docks - you name it, they have it. Never mind the brand (although good branding would go a long way in establishing you as the market leader), but most generic add-ons come slapped with a hastily designed logo. Apple themselves aren’t going to let this lucrative market go to waste, and hence they have announced that they will be carrying accessories for the recently released MacBook Air. Panasonic Scoops Themselves on PMA Digital Camera Lineup [Digital Cameras]
Panasonic is apparently testing the “effectiveness” of RSS in the press room. Turns out, it’s very, since they’ve scooped themselves on their PMA lineup! All of the links go to blank pages for now, but at least we know what’s coming: New FS-series, FX-35 (their first w/ a 25mm wide-angle lens), budget LZ line and a set of “superzoom” TZ cameras. Sounds exciting—can’t wait ’til we see what’s actually behind the links. Sony’s Vaio T Bringing Sexy Back
There’s the old saying that you can never be too rich or too thin. Well, that old saying seems to be the operating strategies of laptop manufactures in recent months. The amazing Sony Vaio Type T may have lost its thin crown to the MacBook Air, but Sony has revamped its slimline notebook recently and they look hot. The latest revisions and updates that have been released show that Sony is boosting the CPU from a Core 2 Duo U7500 (1.06GHz) to an ULV Core 2 Duo U7600 (1.2GHz). In addition to the hardware upgrades, the exterior has undergone a makeover to showcase some pretty sexy designs in either a creme or graphite color. Also, it looks like that these are actual designs on the laptop and not skins like the original article suggests. (Read the full post about ‘Sony’s Vaio T Bringing Sexy Back’…)

Optimal Office Mouse Reads Your Stress Levels
I think that anyone who is on the computer knows what stress is, especially at the office. Fortunately, the Optimal Office Mouse is here for us to both monitor and relieve our stress. As you can see, the Optimal Office Mouse differs from your average mouse with that metallic spot on the side. All you have to do is press your thumb on that spot in order to gauge your stress levels. Once the mouse detects that your stress levels are high, the included software kicks in and suggests that you perform some stress-relieving exercises. According to the site, the device uses Web 2.0 processes for stress relief that works on three levels. The first is Micro-Training, a quick training that allows for relaxation as a way to keep employees on task. (Read the full post about ‘Optimal Office Mouse Reads Your Stress Levels’…)

Hamburg Science Centre and Aquarium Makes Us Go Ooooooooo [Architecture]
The Office for Metropolitan Architecture has designed this stunning 247,569-square-foot Science Centre for the Hamburg Hafencity, which is part of the Hamburg harbour, one of the largest ports in the world. The stunning ring design is composed of ten modular blocks, and it will include a science theater, aquarium, theater, offices, laboratories and retail area. It may be their painterly nature, but the rest of the rendering make it look quite surreal, in a Matrix-meets-Tetris kind of way. otterdam, January 22nd 2008): The Office for Metropolitan Architecture has revealed the final design for a Science Centre and Aquarium for the Hamburg Hafencity complex. HTC hit the 2 million mark with the Touch
HTC has announced they have now sold 2 million Touch handsets, which includes the Touch, Touch Slide and Touch Color. The sales are doing real well, it was just back in October that HTC had announced hitting the 1 million mark and had hoped to hit 1.5-1.8 million before the years end. Instead just a few months later they have more than doubled their October sales totals. HTC seems to have a real winner on their hands. In addition to the success HTC is having with the Touch lineup they have also been able to sell 11.8 million smartphones during 2007, which is a 12% increase from 2006. The little 9-inch, Via-based laptop with 7-inch display, 30GB disk, and 5-hours battery is now expected to pop with a gOS Rocket on Walmart.com and ZaReason.com February 15th. A day earlier would have required a pink version which nobody wants… at least not yet.[Thanks, David]Tags: technology, electronic toys, home theater, gadgets (Read the full post about ‘Everex’s CloudBook wannabEee: now February 15th’…)
