Unfortunately, no details are available at the moment as their RSS feed seems to have spilled the beans. Nevertheless we can expect new LUMIX cams from their FS-, LZ-, and superzoom TZ-series. They’ll also be launching a new FX35 — their first Lumix with a 25mm wide-angle lens. More just as soon as Panny gets its house in order. DigiTimes, which cites internal Microsoft data, claims that HTC has declined from the previous #1 Windows Mobile non-touchscreen smartphone maker spot with over 50% of the market (from July ‘06 to June ‘07) to just under 30% of the market. Stepping up to take over HTC’s spot are Motorola and Samsung, whose respective Q and BlackJack models are apparently more popular than previously thought. The same report says that HTC is still #1 in terms of the smartphones with touchscreen, with about a 50% share. Honestly, the touchscreen models are where HTC’s focusing most of their efforts anyway, so this isn’t that huge of a deal. Toys are not only for the little boys. There are toys that could fascinate adults as well. Just take a look at this cool new toy called the Transforming Death Star. The idea of the toy is simple – and that is to mesh the powers of Darth Vader with the skills of the Transformers. This toy is so amazing that robot fanatics, regardless of their ages and preferences, would definitely want to own one. The Transforming Death Star has the ability to change from a Death Star into the feared Darth Vader, and then back again. But if you think that that is everything the toy can do, then you’re terribly mistaken. The toy is also created with movie-accurate speech, lights, and sounds, to say very the least. Beko might not be a brand that’s famous, but that doesn’t detract it from being a winner in the energy-efficient household appliance sector. Apparently, Beko claims that this washing machine is capable of doing your laundry in just 14 minutes. I’m sure housewives all over the world will appreciate having this in their homes, especially with Valentine’s Day just around the corner. Priced at £349, the 14-minute wash cycle translates to a whole lot less energy consumed which keeps the earth greener as a result. Star Wars Chubbies - Darth Vader They’re a half-Russian-Doll-half-Star-Wars-Doll hybrid made from robust PVC, in which one doll sits inside another in the usual fashion. What makes these unique, not to mention highly collectible, is that as you travel inside the doll, it reveals the character in an earlier stage of development. MWg has announced that they will be launching cell phones that feature wireless charging sometime this year, teaming up with Splashpower to introduce inductive charging to the masses. I guess cell phones of the future will adopt this method if it catches on, but in the meantime we still have to contend with a tangled mess of wires whenever we start packing our chargers on a long road trip. Hopefully MWg keeps to their world and release these wireless-power smart phones by the middle of the year. Casual photographers take note, only the S520 features optical stabilization, you’ll want to try and aim for that instead of messing with any of that electronic stabilization stuff. Posted Jan 28th 2008 4:43PM by Donald MelansonFiled under: Transportation While they didn’t put it though quite the same rigorous tests that the feds did, our pals at AutoblogGreen did recently get to spend a fair bit of time being the wheel of Tesla’s much-hyped Roadster, and they’ve now thankfully churned out a fairly thorough review to make us all a little jealous. As you might expect, they readily admit that the car is “not for everyone” (even among those that can afford it), but for those that know what they’re getting into, they say you can expect a “hard-edged sports car that fits like a pair of good leather driving gloves.” That extends in no small part to the car’s Lotus roots, which AutoblogGreen found evident in everything from the car’s “cozy” interior to its non-boosted steering system, which they say provides “amazing feedback to the driver.” If that’s not enough to convince you, you can hit up the link below for the complete review and, of course, plenty of pictures.
