YouTube now allows video viewing in high quality
YouTube has launched a new feature that lets users select the quality of videos that they watch. Currently available and can be seen in some video streams, YouTube is aiming to make this feature available to more video content later on. High-quality video viewing here pertains to all video contents uploaded to YouTube and is not restricted video contents from YouTube partners. To enjoy watching high quality videos, go to your YouTube account page. At the lower portion of the account settings you would find an additional link under the “Account” heading. Click on the ”Video Playback Quality” and just select how you want to watch YouTube videos. (Read the full post about ‘YouTube now allows video viewing in high quality’…)

FIT cellphone concept to make cellphone users “fitter”
I don’t know where manufacturers got the idea that gadgets and exercise buffs would go good together, so I’m genuinely surprised every time I see a new “sports trainer phone”, “diet tracking device” or other similar gadget. These things, of course, more often than not die faster than a flame inside a hurricane, of course that shouldn’t stop new concepts from coming out of the woods now, should it? Especially not one that uses back-to-back OLED multi-touch screens, a compact hydrogen battery and dual-core processors. The FIT cellphone concept uses existing technology in order to track a user’s performance. (Read the full post about ‘FIT cellphone concept to make cellphone users “fitter”’…)

XLink Cellular Gateway turns Bluetooth-enabled cellphones into landlines
At this point in my life, I don’t know how I managed to live through all those years with my corded landline phone. I mean, sure, it’s still a great way to communicate when it comes to voice but at a time when almost everything is about to go completely wireless I don’t see where it’ll fit. I honestly think landlines would be best displayed in any museum of ancient history, but the XLink Bluetooth Gateway aims to prove otherwise. Using Bluetooth technology, it will link your mobile phone to your landline so that you can answer calls to either phone via any of the two. Meaning, if a call comes in on your cellphone, you can use the landline to answer it. (Read the full post about ‘XLink Cellular Gateway turns Bluetooth-enabled cellphones into landlines’…)

Asus EP20, the overlooked CeBIT desktop Eee announcement
It seems with all the excitement surrounding the Eee PC 900, Asus had also introduced their desktop Eee PC, the EP20. We first heard rumors of this back in November, sadly it does not seem like it was worth the wait. So far just a few details that have emerged, what we can tell you is the EP20 will feature a 1.87 GHz Intel dual core processor and include a standard 2.5-inch hard drive as opposed to the SSD’s in the Eee PC notebook. No mention of the storage size for that hard drive or any RAM amount. Also, while their has not been any confirmation, it is expected to be running the same modified version of Linux as the Eee PC notebook lineup. The EP20 is expected to retail for 200€ (around $312 US). (Read the full post about ‘Asus EP20, the overlooked CeBIT desktop Eee announcement’…)
