CNET reviews the Samsung T819 and writes, “The SGH-T819’s 1.3-megapixel camera takes pictures in five resolutions, from 1,820×1,024 down to 240×180. Other camera features include five quality settings; brightness and white balance controls; a night mode; exposure meeting; 20 fun frames; a self-timer, and three color effects. There’s also a digital zoom (though it’s unusable at the highest resolution) and three shutter sounds, plus a silent option. The camcorder records clips in two resolutions (176×144 and 128×96) with sound and a number of editing options; clips meant for multimedia messages are capped at about 40 seconds, or you can shoot for as long as the available memory will permit.

Bamboo bag may be best place for your bread
We’ve covered Bamboo products here at Popgadget before: from laptops to clothing. Now online food magazine Chow reports that the newest and best way to store bread is in a specially-designed bag made from bamboo fabric, a naturally sustainable textile which is water-absorbent and great at repelling bacteria, meaning your bread should stay fresher longer. Plus, it’s much better for the environment to have a re-usable bag and as much as I love Nigella Lawson, I’m not shelling out $100 for her bread bin. The bamboo bags are available in two styles, Loaf Pouch (above) or Baguette Quiver (don’t you just love the word ‘quiver’?), pictured over the page. LG Vu for AT&T finally gets all official
As expected, the LG Vu gets official today, following the recently released official specs and the speculation that it’s going to come in two different versions. Although AT&T could not be kind enough to include pricing info yet, it does say that the LG Vu will be available in May. It’s also confirmed to come in two versions, one that has mobile TV support, and another one that does not. It boasts a full HTML Web browser coupled with HSDPA 3G. And with a haptic-enabled touchscreen-based user interface, you’ve got yourself another one of those iphone wannabes. But I think it’s best not to judge the LG Vu on paper, and as always, it would be better to see how well it performs in real life. Rumor: Built-in Blu-ray Drives Coming to the 360?
First, HD-DVD died. Then, Steve "Monkey Boy" "Enthusiastic CEO" Ballmer confirmed that Microsoft would support Blu-ray in "ways that make sense." One day later, Stan Glasgow, Sony Electronics’ U.S. president, said his company was already in talks with both Microsoft and Apple about adding Blu-ray drives to their hardware. This was apparently news to Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360, who corrected that statement in an interview with Reuters,  saying that "Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience." Now, a new report from Digitimes claims that Lite-On, which is currently one of the suppliers of Xbox 360’s internal DVD-ROM drives, is developing built-in Blu-ray drives for the Microsoft’s console. Apple In Newer, More Ridiculous Monitor Color Lawsuit
Just days after settling the “millions of colors” lawsuit over its LCD monitors, Apple is facing yet another frivolous suit about claims for its flat panels. According to the Apple Insider, the class-action lawsuit wants satisfaction for marketing claims. That’s right. Apple’s iMac product blurb says that “No matter what you like to do on your computer — watch movies, edit photos, play games, even just view a screen saver — it’s going to look stunning on an iMac.” Law firm Kabateck Brown Kellner disagrees, saying that the 20″ iMac uses cheaper 6 bit film in its LCD and is “particularly ill-suited [for] editing photographs”. It also says that this use of cheaper components in the cheaper computer is gouging customers. (Read the full post about ‘Apple In Newer, More Ridiculous Monitor Color Lawsuit’…)

Motorola’s Z9 with GPS goes for a ride on AT&T
Posted Apr 1st 2008 4:41AM by Thomas RickerFiled under: cellphones, GPS Just like we heard, AT&T is now offering Motorola’s MOTO Z9. $150 (after $50 on-line discount and 2-yr contract) nabs the new slider with GPS for AT&T’s rebranded TeleNav service — now called AT&T Navigator. It’s also stuffed with microSD expansion, stereo Bluetooth, and quad-band GSM with WCDMA 850/1900 supporting 3.6Mbps HSDPA data. Surprisingly, the 2 megapixel camera we saw in the early prototype last year has been whittled back to 1.3 megapixels. Come on Moto, what’s 0.7 megapixels between friends?
