Check out the comic above - it is a hilarious but true take of the evolution of us homo sapiens and TV - apparently the thinner a TV gets (in addition to cell phones and other hi-tech stuff such as iPods), the fatter we become due to a sedentary lifestyle. Pretty funny, no? Tags: Ogg, gear, AAC, Gadget (Read the full post about ‘Evolution of Man and TV’…)

by Darren Murph, posted Apr 14th 2008 at 10:28PM Granted, we’ve cast our glances upon DVI Extenders before, but IOGEAR’s latest comes in just south of the magical $500 price point and is apt to warm the hearts of digital signage professionals everywhere. The simply titled DVI Video / Audio Extender Kit consists of a pair of DVI units, a local transmitter and a remote receiver, which owners connect with a CAT5e / 6 Ethernet cable. You’ll also find an analog 3.5-millimeter jack for hooking up stereo speakers, and the three-year warranty should help you rest easy all the while. How many hi-tech watches that you see in the market these days cater for females? Chances are the answer will be none. The I/O concept aims to change that perspective (assuming it actually takes off), featuring a cuff bracelet design complete with a hidden digital clock that lights up only when you need to tell the time, making this more of a fashion accessory that tells the time instead of a good looking watch. All you need to do is touch the dot whenever you want to check on the time - works like a charm, eh? Tags: digital, dap, cameras, PDA (Read the full post about ‘I/O Concept Watch’…)

A-VSB is a proposed open standard and backward-compatible enhancement of the existing U.S. digital TV broadcasting system. It includes the A-VSB physical layer and global standard OMA BCAST application layer for mobile broadcasting, showing live local and national content as well as providing interactivity. A-VSB has been proposed to the ATSC for its upcoming mobile and handheld standard ATSC-M/H. (Read the full post about ‘MobiTV Supports ATSC-M/H System For Mobile Broadcast’…)
E-Ten has taken steps to upgrade their flagship Glofiish smartphone by releasing two new models - the M750 and the M810. The latter is powered by a 500MHz processor, has WiFi connectivity, GPS navigation, Bluetooth 2.0 support, HSDPA, 2.8″ touch screen display, and a 2 megapixel autofocus camera. The damn thing is still pretty huge to hold in your hands, but at the very least it feels a whole lot more solid that other handsets in the market in terms of build quality.

It should not come as surprise: customers are not interested by watching TV on a tiny display, and those who are would like to do it by using an on-demand scheme, not broadcast. DVB-H is exactly the contrary of on-demand. It is an old-broadcast model where all users watch the same show at the same time. But it has an advantage, when compared to video streaming/download: the video quality is much better and smoother.

Are you a fan of the Transformers? Have you seen the Autobot Flashing T-Shirt? Would you like to own the AllSpark cube which in this case is somehow related to technology?
Yep, it is true, this is yet another Transformers product. In theory, the AllSpark cube is suppose to resemble the real artifact from the movie, but practically it is a USB hub with 4 ports.
In order to be unique, the All Spark 4 Socket USB is able to playback phrases from the Transformers movie, but only when you connect/access a device.
