by Joshua Fruhlinger, posted May 13th 2008 at 2:55PM Why is this child so happy? It’s because he’s taking RINGBO the riding robot by the horns! See his glee as he cruises around for an entire hour at a blazing 2MPH? Hey, it only took six hours to charge up. RINGBO is controlled by those horn-like joysticks, and we can only hope that front panel contains an IR receiver — one that might give parents hours of pleasure as they override their kids’ intended direction. RINGBO will be shown by Airrobot at this week’s Koreannovation Trade Show in NYC, so we’ll be sure to bring our offspring, as it’s meant for children aged 2-3 and up to 66lbs. We just want to know two things: how much, and can we cheat the 66lb weight limit? (Read the full post about ‘RINGBO the riding robot is for kids, the song is for everyone’…)

by Nilay Patel, posted May 13th 2008 at 7:23AMWe think we’ve already got a handle on the various chipset revisions planned for Microsoft’s too-beautiful-for-this-world Xbox 360*, but it looks like that planned 45nm “Valhalla” combined CPU / GPU motherboard design we’ve been hearing about might also come in a redesigned, smaller case. That’s certainly news to us, but TG Daily has the refresh happening on the same fall-2009 timeline we’ve been hearing about, so at least all these sketchy rumors line up. We’ll see when we see — it sounds like the 65nm Jasper units are coming off the line for that August release in the meantime to keep us all warm at night. *Guess which Engadget ed had his 360 go RRoD over the weekend? All hail fuel cell - it is advancements like that that will make concepts such as the BakVac possible, but not anytime soon though. Instead of dragging around a vacuum cleaner with the very clear and present dangers of tripping yourself up, why not carry the BakVac vacuum on your back instead? This is definitely the more convenient method of doing things, and at least you know you won’t be tripping up anytime soon. Unfortunately, such a concept can only be realized once fuel cell technology has caught up in order to be of such practical use. Whatever the case is, the future is definitely an exciting one. T-Mobile looks set to delay some of the upcoming phones while dropping others. The Nokia 5300 replacement, the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music will be available early next month instead in red, orage and purple colors. The higher end Nokia 5610 Xpress Music will launch early July instead, while folks hoping to wrap their paws around the Motorola Z6w will have to look elsewhere since the June 23rd launch has been scrapped altogether. Guess Motorola’s woes have just mounted all the more, eh, that WiFi in the Z6 can’t help it either. The cancellation is said to be due to early testing issues, but could it be a case of dropping a rotten apple? (Read the full post about ‘T-Mobile to drop Handsets’…)
