Whenever a new smartphone gets released we would all like to get as many details as possible about what it does and when it will be available. We also would like to see as many pictures as possible. We’d like to have our own hands on those models but in the mean time we can offer you other people’s experience. We talked about the HTC since it got officially launched in London last week. The latest notebook coming from NEC is touting a new green feature, the VersaPro notebook lineup has just had the Type VE series added. The notebook will feature a 15.1-inch display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, 80GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and is powered by a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 processor. As for its green features, those are limited to a special “Eco Button” that will, when pushed lower the CPU speed and screen brightness, which will in turn decrease the overall energy consumption by 20 percent. While the Type VE series is not as green as many may have hoped, its still a nice option for users to get a little extra battery life. Via [Akihabara News] Keep up with the latest gadget goodness! In the latest of a series of when-can-I-get-the-Triac false starts, the three-wheeled electric car of obscene cuteness has a real launch date. No, really. According to AutoblogGreen, Green Vehicles is accepting pre-orders for July delivery of the Triac, which means you could actually be silently cruising the beaches in this thing come summer. For those concerned about safety and all that “not dying” stuff, Green Vehicles has assured the press that a safety cage designed by race car fabrication experts has been integrated into the car’s design. Also, they promise that the lithium-ion batteries are good for at least 2000 cycles, which should last you about 5 years. by Joshua Fruhlinger, posted May 14th 2008 at 11:42AM You know how the fanboy banter goes: Wii is teh lame because waggling is silly. PS3 is teh stupid because of those in-game installs and the slow Blu-Ray drive. What if the Xbox 360 were to get both of those “features” in its Spring dashboard update? According to a supposedly leaked list for the upcoming dashboard update, both a “motion sensor device” and HDD installation will be supported. The first item listed, “Calibration options for motion sensor devices” certainly makes it seem like a waggle stick is on its way to the 360. The other, “store installation data on Storage Device for faster loading” sounds a lot like the PS3’s proclivity for keeping an HDD cache handy. by Donald Melanson, posted May 14th 2008 at 12:13PMIt looks like Samsung is shaking up more than its management today, with the company now apparently also set to finally expand its laptop business into the US market as well as an “as yet unnamed European country.” This latest move, as you may recall, follows a string of problems the company has faced, and it looks like if things don’t pan out as it plans with this effort, it could have even more repercussions for the company. Apparently in this day and age where technology rules supreme, there are still some folks who prefer to rely on good old voodoo magic to take revenge instead of backstabbing one through e-mail and forums. The VoodooBuddy brings voodoo magic to the 21st century, where you enter the information of your most despised foe, followed by poking away at the doll as you please. The same theory applies here - poking certain areas of the doll supposedly allows you to curse the victim. Strangely enough, if you go overboard on your curses, it will snap a photo and send it to the victim instead automatically in order to reverse the curses. I suppose it ought to be connected to the computer or something in order for this to happen. (Read the full post about ‘VoodooBuddy Gets Update’…)

EXO-Wing could very well hold the distinction of being the smallest human-piloted jet in the world. There isn’t any winged aircraft to climb into, as you wear the EXO-Wing jet backpack instead. The EXO-Wing comprises of a twin micro-turbine-powered contraption. No idea if it actually works or not, but my guess is you ought to wear some sort of heat retardant suit if you want to take flight. Certainly you won’t want to end up with a burnt backside, do you? Tags: lcd, AAC, equipment, TV (Read the full post about ‘EXO-Wing Jet Backpack’…)
