Its been a while since we first saw the Nokia N78 begin to show up online, it hit the FCC back in mid-March and since then it has always been touting a built-in FM transmitter as an included feature. Considering the music capabilities of the N78, that should be a welcomed feature, while playing music through an FM transmitter over your car stereo is not always a perfect solution, its easy to set up and very convenient. Sadly new details are beginning to surface that are claiming that at least some of the Nokia N78’s will not include the FM transmitter. While Nokia has not offered up any official comment, it is speculated that it was left off due to legal reasons as it is against the law to operate a radio transmitter without a license in some areas. by Ryan Block, posted Jun 14th 2008 at 9:14AM Okay, the science nerds in the audience didn’t exactly let us know that we’ve entered the age of commercial superconductors, but apparently Sumitomo Electric has built a Toyota Crown Comfort that’s powered by a superconducting engine. Cooled by liquid nitrogen to -200° C, apparently all this madness nets you an extra 10% gain in distance over regular battery-powered motors. We saw the official release of Opera 9.5 earlier in the week, and now Opera fans can rejoice as it has also been ported over to run on your USB drive. Dubbed Opera 9.5 USB it offers all the wonderful features that you will find on the regular desktop version, and only takes up 15MB of space on your flash drive. The USB version will also not leave any data on the computer you choose to use it with, meaning no history will be left behind showing off the odd things you may have searched for. The only drawback that I can see, is that this USB version will run on Windows only, otherwise it should be nice to take a good browser and not get stuck using IE or without your favorite bookmarks when away from your main computer. In addition to the standard black coloring that we have been seeing, some newly surfaced images of the Nokia E71 are showing the device in white. The back of the handset along the top and bottom are white along with the keypad on the front. Overall its not an really bright or overbearing white, more subtle. As we already know, the E71, at just 10mm thick will mark the “slimmest” business device in the Nokia lineup. It is expected to feature such goodies as built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and even a 3.2-megapixel camera. While an official announcement has not yet come, it is expected to be officially announced next week during the Nokia Connection in Singapore. Ok, we admit it - we have an obsession with alarm clocks. What we’d really like to see is a build-your-own-alarm-clock store. Honestly, if that existed, I’d easily spend $200-$300 on my dream alarm clock. What?
Anyway, here’s a nice clean looking alarm clock that understands 10 spoken voice commands including the ability to set the time, the alarm, and of course SNOOZE! This blue-backlit clock also has a temperature sensor and can tell you if you’re at your perfect sleeping temp.
Plug it into the wall or put in 3 AAA batteries.
