iPhone Data Plans in Mexico Cause Pre-Launch Anxiety, Protests
Mexican citizens are just as excited as everyone else to pick up an iPhone 3G tomorrow but the data plans announced by the provider, Telcel, is giving everyone south of the border a strong case of heartburn.  The Mexican data plan can be seen below, and if you compare it to others such as the one in Italy, it is similarly not great.  But the real story is the high price after a user overdraws its data limits, because Telcel does not (currently) offer an unlimited data plan. iPhone fans in Mexico who don’t want to be gouged by the telcom immediately created a petition online, declaring that Telcel’s data schemes are unfair. Flee Digital Cam

Flee Digital Cam
The Flee Digital Cam is definitely something you don’t see every day - it is actually part digital camera, part Bluetooth receiver for the cell phone. The moment you let loose the “Flee”, it will start to capture photos automatically at regular time intervals, sending the captured images back to your cell phone. Of course, this would mean a pretty limited range for the Flee since a Bluetooth bubble isn’t exactly the farthest serving protocol in town. Spanish iPhone Tarrifs Announced: Surprisingly Cheap
Spain’s Movistar has at last posted its somewhat confusing iphone prices. The handsets start at €0 for the 8GB iPhone on the €60 ($94) per month plan, but on top of that €60 you have to pay another €25 ($39) for the data, which is a fairly decent 1GB per month. If you choose to pay a little more for the phone, you can have a cheaper monthly rate. If you pay €360 for thew 16GB handset, you can get away with a tiny €9 ($14) voice plan, plus another €15 ($24) for the data (which at this end is just 200MB), coming in at a total of €24 ($38). Curiously, you can’t combine the big data plan with the small voice plan, which, as I speak such terrible Spanish that I never actually call anyone, would be perfect for me. Every website needs web hosting and selecting a web host is one of the most important things that need special consideration. You just can’t go to any web host and place an order. Every web host charges some money for providing the hosting service and a bad decision can cost a lot of money. So, it’s advisable to carefully go through web hosting reviews available on Internet. A simple search on a search engine can yield a number of useful resources.

An individual can learn a lot from the web hosting reviews provided by the previous/current users.

iPhone 2.0 Firmware Available
It is interesting what an XML file stores - this time round, a little sniffing around has revealed the secret location of the iPhone 2.0 Firmware that currently resides on Apple’s servers. The build is a wee bit higher than the current iphone Firmware Beta (5A345) that ships with 3G iPhones, but there is no official release - yet. Hopefully the firmware will be released shortly on an official basis, but you are more than welcome to try out the yet-unannounced firmware if you happen to have the intestinal fortitude for the unknown. GM to build world’s largest rooftop solar station in Spain
GM has chosen its factory in northeastern Spain to be a suitable location for rooftop solar panel installation. The predicted 10-megawatt solar station will be used to supply the plant with most of its power needs, thereby taking the title as the largest rooftop solar station in the world. To get an idea of the scale of this thing, imagine being able to power 4,600 households each year with a constant source of electricity. Now that must be big. How big you ask? GM plans to blanket about 2,000,000 square feet with about 85,000 panels by the end of September. Though, this is nothing for GM. They currently own the two largest solar panel installations in the United States and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Nissan pledges electic car in U.S. by 2010
by Tim Stevens, posted Jul 10th 2008 at 4:53AM Car companies have been promising fully electric autos for decades, but it seems like we’re finally on the cusp of fuel-free, silent running. The Telsa, Zap, and Six50 EVs will all be on the road within the next year or so (we’re betting on “so”), and GM’s much-anticipated Volt plug-in will come a year after that. Nissan would like to politely remind you that it too plans to have an all-electric auto in U.S. by 2010, all the while lining up charging stations at places like commuter parking lots and train stations. The company recently showed off an all-electric version of its popular (in Japan) Cube at the NY Auto Show, so it’s a safe bet that the above is Nissan’s vision for the all-electric future of American highways.
